This is due to the removal of the requirement for a ‘wet signature’ on initial application forms and on certified documentation accompanying the form. This means you will still need to sign the form but we will accept photocopies.

In order to comply with ASIC Regulatory Guide 97, Bennelong Funds Management Ltd (BFML), the Responsible Entity for the Fund, has a policy in place on how fees and costs disclosed in the Product Disclosure Statement (‘PDS’) are calculated. The PDS on issue dated 1 February 2017 contains an estimate of typical ongoing performance fees of 0.60%, which is based on the effective amount of performance fees charged in the five full financial years to 30 June 2016.
A recent review of the Fund has established that the average of the effective amount of Performance Fees charged in the past five full financial years (to 30 June 2017) is 0.18%.

In accordance with ASIC Regulatory Guide 26: Resignation, removal and replacement of auditors (RG 26), Bennelong Funds Management Limited hereby notifies unit holders of the Third Link Growth Fund (the Fund) that the Fund has changed Registered Scheme Auditor (the Auditor).
The incoming Auditor is Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and the outgoing Auditor is Ernst & Young. The reason for the change in the auditor is to align the Auditor to Bennelong Funds Management's (the Investment Manager) auditor, being Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
The change of auditor is effective of the date of this notice, being 15 March 2017.

The rollover is due to the appointment of RBC Investor & Treasury Services to provide investment administration and custodial services for the abovementioned funds. As a result, bank account details for applications into these funds have changed.
Please also note that the PDS for the Bennelong Kardinia Absolute Return Fund has been updated to reflect a change in Cash Custodian and new requirements to capture additional investor information.

The Bennelong Alpha 200 Fund is being wound down. This decision to do so was based on our assessment that the fund was unlikely to meet the performance objectives we expected at inception. This decision will enable the team to focus energies on the well established Bennelong Long Short Equity Fund, which since inception has provided a return of 17.25% (as at 28 February 2015). Information Memorandums (IMs) for the Bennelong Alpha 200 Fund and the Bennelong Long Short Equity Fund have been updated and are now available from Client Services (call 1800 895 388 or via email). The updated documents are effective immediately and by law we are unable to process applications using older versions of these documents. To ensure applications are processed promptly, please use the latest versions (dated 30 June 2014).
What changes have been made?
The main changes to the IMs are to ensure compliance with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). As a result of the signing of the agreement between the Australian and US governments in relation to compliance with FATCA, Bennelong is required to collect and report information about investors who are US tax residents, or entities that invest on behalf of US tax residents to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Application Forms submitted without the additional FATCA information cannot be processed until the details have been provided.

Bennelong has released updated Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs) and Application Forms for the following funds:

Earlier this year, ASIC released Regulatory Guide 240 (RG 240) which sets out benchmarks and disclosure principles to better enable investors to make more informed decisions about comparing and investing in hedge funds. RG 240 was originally planned to come into effect in June 2013 but has been delayed until February 2014.
Given Bennelong has finalised work in relation to the current version of RG 240, we have released an updated PDS for the Bennelong Kardinia Absolute Return Fund and will review any additional requirements before the revised February 2014 deadline.
