BAEP triumphs at AFMA

31 October 2011

Bennelong Australian Equity Partners (BAEP) has won the prestigious Australian Fund Manager Awards' (AFMAs') Golden Calf Award.

The Golden Calf is awarded to a boutique fund manager in the Australian equities sector based on returns achieved over the 2010/2011 period.

Over one year to 30 June 2011, BAEP's Bennelong Concentrated Australian Equities Fund delivered a return of 20.3%, outperforming the S&P/ASX 300 by 8.4%.

"This was a good year for our portfolio returns as our process focuses on stocks we believe can deliver positive earnings surprise relative to expectations. The economic uncertainty during 2010 and 2011 manifested itself in a higher degree of earnings uncertainty, which presented a number of opportunities we were able to exploit," said Paul Cuddy, BAEP's Chief Executive Officer.

BAEP is a boutique large-cap equities manager offering high quality Australian equities solutions to institutional and retail clients.
