In the role, Mr Bernstein will manage business development and distribution for Bennelong’s Australian boutique partners as well as its BennBridge UK partners.

Mr Bernstein has nearly three decades of asset management industry experience. He joins BennBridge from Windham Capital Management LLC, where he was a managing partner and head of business development. He has also worked with BNP Paribas Investment Partners and Angelo Gordon Asset Management LLC.

“Rob’s leadership experience and relationships across institutional investors, consultant and advisory platforms are ideally suited to helping us continue to build our footprint in the US market,” said Craig Bingham, Bennelong’s CEO.

“We have a number of strategies from our asset management partners that we plan to bring to US investors – including 4D Infrastructure, Quay Global Investors, Skerryvore Asset Management and Pembroke Emerging Markets – and Rob’s appointment is a key step in helping us achieve this strategy.”

Mr Bernstein’s appointment follows a number of other client-focused appointments at Bennelong. In March, Amara Haqqani stepped into the newly-created role of chief client strategy officer for Bennelong Funds Management. In addition, BennBridge UK recently appointed Naureen Khan as managing director, Client Group UK and Europe; Dicken Watson as chief business officer and general counsel; and Charles Oldmeadow as director, client group UK and Europe.
