Adam is based in Sydney and is the former chief executive officer of AMP Capital, where he oversaw AU$200 billion of funds across a range of asset classes including fixed interest, real estate, infrastructure and equities. Prior to this, he was director, chief investment officer and chief operating officer at AMP Capital Real Estate. In his 35-year executive career, he was also an executive director in property and infrastructure at Macquarie Capital and held business leadership roles at Lendlease. He currently sits on the board at Stockland as a non-executive director.

Ian, based in London, is a global investment specialist whose financial services career spans more than 40 years. His experience includes managing multi-billion-pound real estate portfolios and advising a number of boards. His appointment will include advisory support for BennBridge, Bennelong’s UK arm.

Ian spent most of his corporate career at Aviva Investors (previously known as Morley Fund Management and Norwich Union), with the last 15 years overseeing property portfolios of around £25 billion and running a global team across the UK, Singapore, USA, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland. He currently sits on a number of boards, and provides pro bono advice to The Story of Christmas Appeal and the Willow Foundation.

Craig Bingham, Bennelong’s chief executive officer, said the appointments further strengthen the board with notable international and industry expertise.

“Adam and Ian join the business at a significant time in our development as we continue our expansion across Australia, the UK and the US. We’re also continuing to explore ways in which we can support smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.

“Adam has not only helped grow funds and assets for clients and led the way on substantial transactions and private capital raisings, but has also been involved in pivotal, high level investment decisions that have helped to shape the Australian funds management market.

“Meanwhile, Ian’s extensive experience will bolster our operations overseas and assist BennBridge in further navigating the UK market,” Craig said.
