The Bennelong Concentrated Australian Equities Fund (the Fund) ranked first on Mercer’s long-only Australian shares fund survey, returning 41.2% in the 12 months to August 2013.

The Fund is managed by Bennelong Australian Equity Partners (BAEP) and holds approximately 25 stocks, primarily selected from the S&P/ASX 300 Index.

“We manage our portfolio by focusing on high-quality companies that we think are going to exceed the market’s expectations for earnings”, said Paul Cuddy, BAEP’s Chief Executive Officer.

According to Mercer, the median Australian equities manager returned 26.3% in the year to August 2013. Another of BAEP’s funds, the Bennelong Australian Equities Fund, ranked fourth on Mercer’s long-only Australian shares fund survey with a 36.7% return for the year to August 2013.

BAEP was established by Paul Cuddy and Mark East in 2008 in partnership with Bennelong Funds Management.
