Bennelong Australian Equities Partners (BAEP) has won two new awards, from Money Magazine’s “Best of the Best 2018” and Financial Standard’s “Investment Leadership Awards”.
Money Magazine selected BAEP’s Bennelong ex-20 Australian Equities Fund as its Gold winner of the Best Small Companies Fund. In addition, the Bennelong Australian Equities Fund was equal second for Money’s Best Australian Share Fund.
At the same time, in its inaugural awards, Financial Standard named BAEP’s Bennelong Concentrated Australian Equities Fund as the winner of its “high performance” category.
BAEP was founded in 2008 by Mark East in partnership with Bennelong Funds Management. It is a boutique fund manager that invests in Australian listed equities.
Craig Bingham, CEO of Bennelong Funds Management, says that the awards are testament to the skill and in-depth knowledge of the BAEP team.
“BAEP takes a disciplined, research-intensive approach to equities investment, which has resulted in outstanding performance.
“It is particularly gratifying that these awards, both of which focus on fund performance, recognise three different funds that are managed by BAEP, underscoring the breadth of expertise and achievement by the team,” Craig Bingham said.
The Bennelong Concentrated Australian Equities Fund is also currently rated the number one Australian equities fund over one, three and five years according to the latest Morningstar Australian Sector Survey (as at 31 October 2017). Over five years the fund has returned 20.6% after fees, compared to the benchmark’s return of 10.2% (as at 30 November 2017).
