Kardinia Capital (Kardinia) has appointed Stuart Larke to the role of Senior Investment Analyst, expanding its investment team to three. Lead by Portfolio Managers Mark Burgess and Kristiaan Rehder, Stuart joined the team on 27 January.
Previously, Stuart was Senior Portfolio Manager, Australian Equities with Telstra Super, where he was responsible for stock selection and portfolio construction. Prior to that, he worked for Myer Family Company as Portfolio Manager/Australian Equities Analyst. Stuart’s career has included a number of senior analyst roles at Goldman Sachs/JB Were and KPMG.
Kristiaan said he was excited to expand the team after what was a busy year for Kardinia. “Stuart brings with him a wealth of experience in both stock analysis and portfolio construction, and he will further strengthen the team’s capabilities.”
Kardinia was established by Mark Burgess and Kristiaan Rehder, in partnership with Bennelong Funds Management, in August 2011. The team manages the Bennelong Kardinia Absolute Return Fund, a long/short Australian equity product with the long-term objective of achieving double-digit annual rates of return without compromising on capital protection.
