Avoca's 'Recommended' rating renewed by Zenith

12 March 2015

The Bennelong Avoca Emerging Leaders Fund (the Fund) has maintained its ‘Recommended’ rating as awarded by research house, Zenith Investment Partners (Zenith). In their most recent report, Zenith highlight the experience of the Fund’s portfolio managers and their structured investment approach  as key strengths.

In regard to the Fund’s Portfolio Managers, John Campbell and Jeremy Bendeich, Zenith states “…the Avoca investment team are experienced and contribute a considerable level of knowledge of small companies stocks and the industries in which they operate”. Additionally, Zenith believes “…the strong industry relationships and company management contacts developed by Avoca's investment team provides the team with a further level of insight into both industry and company specific issues”.

Prior to founding Avoca and entering a joint venture with Bennelong Funds Management (Bennelong) in 2011, Campbell and Bendeich were partly responsible for the management of the UBS Small Companies Fund, in which Zenith notes their previous Fund consistently outperformed both the benchmark and median manager.

Overall, Zenith acknowledges the Fund’s deliverance of positive risk-adjusted returns and is highly confident in the Fund meeting its intended objectives.
