New addition to Bennelong Long Short Equity team

Bennelong Long Short Equity Management (BLSEM) has further strengthened its investment capability with the appointment of Steven Lambeth as Senior Investment Analyst, commencing with the business in early August 2014.

Steven has extensive investment management experience and joins BLSEM from JCP Investment Partners where he was Senior Investment Analyst, responsible for company research and valuation within a variety of sectors. Importantly, Steven was also integrally involved in portfolio decision making across a range of investment portfolios, including the JCP 150/50 long short fund. Prior to this role, Steven worked as Senior Investment Manager with Wallara Asset Management and as an Investment Consultant with Towers Perrin’s Asset Consulting Practice. In total, Steve has over 10 years of experience in the funds management industry.

BLSEM Principal and Director Richard Fish said he was delighted their boutique business was able to attract someone with Steven’s exceptional talent. “With the expansion of our product offering since the successful launch of the new Alpha 200 Fund earlier this year, the addition of Steven to the team deepens our research-intensive credentials and our ongoing ability to deliver quality investment management solutions to investors” said Richard.

BLSEM was launched in 2002 and currently manages two absolute funds, the Bennelong Alpha 200 Fund and the Bennelong Long Short Equity Fund.
