Ian has more than four decades of experience in financial services and investment management across the UK and internationally. He joined the board of the Bennelong Funds Management Group in 2021, with his role including advisory support for BennBridge.

Ian advises a number of boards and specialises in real estate investment. He spent most of his corporate career at Aviva Investors (previously known as Morley Fund Management and Norwich Union), with the last 15 years as Chief Executive, Real Estate, overseeing property portfolios of around £25 billion and running a global team.

Ian is currently a member of the Cambridge Land Economy Advisory Board. He was the chairman of the Investment Property Forum, is a past member of the General Council and Policy Committee of the British Property Federation, and is a former trustee of the Investment Property Forum Educational Trust. He is also Chairman of the Story of Christmas Appeal, a leading UK property industry charity.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Urban Land Economics.
